Let us eat cake.

I have a friend named Lynne. She's actually the one who pestered me to start a blog. Lynne is extraordinarily funny, only I don't think she realizes that she is. I am not a funny person. At all. I love that I have Lynne in my sometimes lonely life. I treasure her friendship for a million reasons besides the laughs. But oh, how I love the laughs. If you need a laugh, you must go to her blog and read this entry. It's about cake.

Thanks for leaving a comment! This story is a hoot... especially since I had my yearly checkup and weigh-in at the doctor this morning. Moral of the story: less cake, more running.

I'm with you, I'm not funny at all. But, Lynne, she makes me laugh!! How great that you be real life friends!!

Yes, Lynne is funny but remember, looks aren't everything.

I love that Lynne is in your loVely life too. She treasures you because of your goodness, your sincerety, your unbelievable writing abilitites--oh, how jealous Lynne is, simply green with envy--she loves you because you are such a good mom and you are brave, DeAnn. Lynne is a chicken livered bawker. "Bawk, bawk." Remind her to let you hear her turkey gobble one day. Simply wonderful. Probably her best talent.

I am so glad you are still posting, even if it's not often enough. I hope you will carve out some time to really write with that new notebook. You should post some of your marvelous starting-of-stories for your readers. Would you consider doing that? They would LOVE it. So would Lynne.

I found you through Lynne. Her cake story is one of the funniest things I've ever read. I love your blog and I agree with Lynne... post more please! You are a terrific writer!

No need to always be funny. Just be YOURSELF, with your skill to tell story, profund, with intensity in the text. In the blogger world there 's a place for everybody. You get already your regular readers.
And quality doesn't aways go with quantity. Keep writing when you feel it. Bonsoir.
